Necessary Documents to Register a Case with Dolfi1920

In order to handle a case of baggage damaged during the flight, we need to receive a set of documents that will authorize us to resolve your situation on behalf of the airline. The majority of air carriers have a standard list of documents that includes:

  • Damage report – the most important doc with a file reference number on it.
  • Baggage tag – the label attached to your luggage at the airport.
  • Boarding pass – the doc provided during the check-in that allows you to board – or a ticket.

These are 3 main documents required by most of the airlines. Some of them request originals only, and in some cases you can provide copies.

Certain airlines demand other documents to allow us to get on with your case, for instance:

  • Signed Release and Discharge form – it proves that the case is settled and you don’t have any other claims.
  • Signed airline form – you give your personal information in it like name, address, phone and details of your damaged baggage.
  • Passport or ID copy.

The number of documents and their type vary from airline to airline as well as the countries of landing, and if you have damaged baggage and want to register your case with us, our customer support agents will specify all the papers you need to provide.
