How to Take Pictures of Your Baggage
When you contact us with a luggage claim, we often ask for photos of your luggage and documents in order to make a virtual assessment of your claim. Why? Because:
- It is much faster than picking up and delivering it to our repair shop;
- We can see if your luggage is repairable or not;
- If it is not repairable, we can immediately prepare your case for exchange.
That’s why it is important to take the right pictures to make the process fast and efficient. So, which photos do we exactly need?
- Photo of the whole luggage: Best from the front with manufacturer logo, so that we can identify the brand. In general, these pictures should give us an overview of the luggage, the model, the material and special features.
- Photo of the damage: Multiple photos can be taken for each damaged part. These pictures should enable us to determine whether or not we can repair your luggage. The clearer and sharper the pictures, the easier it will be for us.
A few more requirements that are not necessarily necessary, but that really help us:
- Please photograph on a bright background so that the luggage itself is clearly visible on the photo;
- We like professional photos, but welcome photos no larger than 4 MB as this saves a lot of time when downloading and opening;
- Please, make sure the pictures are sharp.
We also ask for photos of the documents that are relevant for the respective processing (flight damage or warranty processing).
